About my libraryWide interest in books - depends on my mood. What's listed here is but a sample; most of these treasures are what I either have out of boxes or am looking to purchase/read shortly. We recently moved into a new house so slowly but surely I am adding shelves and emptying boxes; I suspect by 2085 or so I should have all the books I actually own reshelved and organized once again....

Hi, yes its a great Libary Thing application. The ideas that come up here are much more spot on than what comes up as suggestions when buying books online, and are often books I would not otherwise hear about. I have quite a backlog to read now, LT has got me buying more books and I am resolved to finish a few more before I get any more!

Bye 4 now

Thanks for the compliment! I will be continuing to drop by and comment in the forums every now and then, but only sporadically...

In the meantime, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, don't hesitate to send them my way! And I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this here digital library catalog as it grows!

Peace.
Hi Stonesoup,

I haven't been to Librarything for a while, so it was nice to see your comment.

Yes, Alan Watts had a special insight for sure, combining the wisdom of East and West. Something tells me his ideas will align with the wisdom necessary to 'heal the world'.

What a way with words, referring to the eyes as 'precious jewels', the ears as 'magical musical instruments' and humans as 'incarnations of all eternity'. Those words have stayed with me for over thirty years.

I like your photo!

Namaste.
Hello, Steven!

You definitely have several non-fiction books that I found interesting. I'm just learning to poke around here on Library Thing, so glad you weren't offended by the mark.

I am also a fairly recent transplant - from Kentucky, only here about two years. I'm in Smyrna, not too far down the road. Not a bad place to live, moved here for work, don't expect to retire here, but with family in KY it is convenient. The weather here, well, I was told there's a cold snowy winter every few years, and that last year was supposed to be the year. Right. I suspect what we are seeing is pretty close to normal.

I first noted your profile from comments on the Happy Heathen's board. All I can say is Welcome to Tennessee, holy canoli Toto you're not in Tahoe anymore! Anyway, I hope you and yours find a way to deal with all that and just enjoy the beauty that is here. I'm just beginning to poke around and explore cultural spots. Lots of music, that's definite!

Take care,

Gwen in Smyrna
