About meI am a critical reader and an avid seeker of knowledge, delighting in a wide variety of subjects and genres including history, etymology, philosophy, psychology, literature, poetry, technology, mathematics, economics, finance, detective fiction, science fiction, comics, and true crime.

I read voraciously and promiscuously, one subject after another. I read everything I can get my hands on, everything I would anyway read, and especially everything I would not. I often read a dozen books on a new subject and miss a lot of sleep.

About my libraryI keep an "anti-library" (as per Umberto Eco), as well as a "quantum library" which consists of books that offer me new knowledge or insight with each re-reading.

“It is our knowledge -- the things we are sure of -- that makes the world go wrong and keeps us from seeing and learning.” ~ Lincoln Steffens
