I have uploaded a cover of The Commodores by Leonard F. Guttridge and Jay D. Smith. This is from the original 1969 Harper & Row hardcover edition.
FYI
I have uploaded a cover for The Mons Star: The British Expeditionary Force, 5th Aug.–22nd Nov. 1914 by David Ascoli. This is from the 1981 Harrap hardcover edition.
FYI
I have uploaded a cover for The Little Field-Marshal: Sir John French by Richard Holmes. This is from the 1981 Jonathon Cape hardcover edition.
Whoops! Somehow the comment I tried to leave turned everything italic and cut off after the first sentence. So I'll try again.

Thanks for your Tintin suggestions--I'll definitely have to check out "The Complete Companion." I'm also interested in the McCarthy book you mention--it was discussed in a fairly recent New Yorker article about Herge (May, I think) that a friend sent me.
Thanks and happy reading!

Hey, I see we're the two LT'ers with the most books tagged "Tintin." I checked out your library and saw a lot of Tintinalia. Anything to recommend for the Tintinophile? I've got a large collection of Tintin books in other languages, but I'm interested in finding out about high-quality supplementary Tintin literature.

And, btw, we've also got a small but random smattering of non-Tintin-related books in common.

Cheers,
bookie
Welcome aboard mate, I see we have some similar tastes. Cheers, A
