About meI'm a 26 year old, Seattlite, who enjoys reading, friends, the outdoors, water anything and spends WAY too much time on her computer. In addition to the usual life things.

About my libraryMy Library is mostly full of Fantasy, Paranormal Romance and Sci-Fi as those are my reading passions. As I read to get lost in a new world. Rather then reading for culture or edifying myself.

GODS GARDEN
By Robert Frost

God made a beatous garden
With lovely flowers strown,
But one straight, narrow pathway
That was not overgrown.
And to this beauteous garden
He brought mankind to live,
And said: "To you, my children,
These lovely flowers I give.
Prune ye my vines and fig trees,
With care my flowerets tend,
But keep the pathway open
Your home is at the end."

Then came another master,
Who did not love mankind,
And planted on the pathway
Gold flowers for them to find.
And mankind saw the bright flowers,
That, glitt'ring in the sun,
Quite hid the thorns of av'rice
That poison blood and bone;
And far off many wandered,
And when life's night came on,
They still were seeking gold flowers,
Lost, helpless and alone.

O, cease to heed the glamour
That blinds your foolish eyes,
Look upward to the glitter
Of stars in God's clear skies.
Their ways are pure and harmless
And will not lead astray,
Bid aid your erring footsteps
To keep the narrow way.
And when the sun shines brightly
Tend flowers that God has given
And keep the pathway open
That leads you on to heaven.
Hi!

I’m sending this note because you are a member of the Seattleites group.

A few of us are starting a book club and I hope that you will consider joining us.

Our first book is In the Woods by Tana French. Our first meeting will be on Thursday, October 2nd, at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park at 7pm.

See our thread called Book Clubs? on the Seattleites group or you can reply to me if you want more info.

Thanks - Carol
LOL dang you read that fast! I am glad you enjoyed it :)
I can't wait to read the others I have of hers.

I really ought to look into the supernatural genre more. I really like them.
I was beginning to think the postal system ate it. LOL Glad it got to you fine. Enjoy! and you are very, very welcome.
Okay, a day late but it's on its way.
Happy reading. Oh, you might want to check out my review blog I set up :)

LOL I will be mailing it off to you on Thursday morning :) (my pay day). I am just happy to have found a good home for the second copy!
Anyone can do it.. I don't get paid or anything. All they do is.. put you in a monthly draw type thing and you win the chance to review the books you enter the draw for. I usually enter all the draws since I love reading anything and everything. So far in maybe.. 8 months maybe (if that) of entering, I have reviewed 10 books or so.

With you being in the USA. Your link would be www.harpercollins.com (I use the canada site). You just join up with the First Look program and then enter to your heart's content :) They actually sent me two copies this month (a mixup) should you want a copy, I will happily send one over to you as the person who mailed them to me from Harper Collins, said I could give the other a new home.
I think I will be getting all of hers soon. I noticed in the bookstore tonight (Yay, finally found a bookstore that sells english books..lol). The ones I have already are Dead Witch Walking, The good, the bad and the undead (I think that's right) and For a few demons more. From what I saw at the bookstore, there are only a couple I am missing. The few demons more seems to be the new one coming out I think. I am reviewing it for harper collins so its a first look edition. (arrived yesterday). I will work on getting the other 2, really soon.
Thanks for posting about Kim Harrison in the FantasyFans forum. I have had her book This Witch for Hire, for sometime but have not yet got around to reading it. That will have to change soon I think. It's always great to see someone love a book I picked up.
