About meBookseller, writer, blogger and general litwit.
About my libraryMy main library-building focus right now is lit-crit and gender studies, although by default (from work responsibilities), I'm simultaneously ripping through a lot of YA. After a decade of borrowing-not-buying (yeah for uni), I can finally give in to my colossal book-greed and actually stock the shelves. It's a little heady.

I have to live with myself, and so,
I want to be fit for myself to know;
I want to be able as days go by
Always to look myself straight in the eye;
I don't want to stand with the setting son
And hate myself for the things I've done.
I don't want to keep on a closet shelf
A lot of secrets about myself,
And fool myself as I come and go
Into thinking that nobody else will know
The kind of man I really am;
I don't want to dress myself up in sham.
I want to go out with my head erect
I want to deserve all men's respect;
But here in the struggle for fame and pelf,
I want to be able to like myself.
I don't want to think as I come and go
That I'm bluster and bluff and empty show.
I never can hide myself from me,
I see what others may never know,
I never can fool myself -- and so,
Whatever happens, I want to be
Self-respecting and conscience free."

My inventory over there is pretty dry for the most part. My husband and I were on the same success-oriented reading program before we got married, so I had a lot of extra copies to list. Some of those are worthwhile reads though. ...People are pretty quick to jump on the fun reading when I post it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write to me with the bookmooch explanations! I've gotten past my initial skepticism though, and have become quite the bookmooch enthusiast. I've really got a good start in cleaning my shelves off, and replenishing with great books I've been wanting to read! My reading pile is most exciting these days.
I'm on bookmooch as seph, btw. Are you surlybookseller over there too, or did someone else swipe your name? :)
Thank you for complimenting my collection too. I do love books so very. very much.
Thanks again!
