About my libraryI'm a giver by nature. Even books. So this list is books that I've owned at one time, but many of them have been passed on to my (pressed) gang of friends and family with the words, "You have to read this."

Note: If it's listed in my library I've read it, or am reading it. I keep my want-to-read list on Amazon.

Noticed you liked The Glass Castle, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to learn a little more about the book before you commit:

Thanks for your friendship! I look forward to checking out your books and hope you enjoy mine.
Thanks, Niki, for "kudoing" me. You have very fortunate raading friends. I'm surrounded by non-readers or people who aren't interested in discussing their reading life, so am hugely grateful to the members of LibraryThing (and Shelfari). As you can see, I've become addicted to List Five Books Parlor Game, but am trying to avoid it and spend more time actually reading ("The Song Of The Dodo" by David Quammen at the moment).

My husband and I used to have a dog named JoJo. He was a jock. Loved to play ball.
Hi! It does look like we have similar tastes. If you don't mind, I'll add you to my friends list so I can watch your reviews and library additions.
Hi! Friended back, thanks! :)
We share 22 books in our Libraries! Burroughs, Chabon, Styron, Irving, Oates, and Roth are some of my favorite authors. My book club has a site you might enjoy. http://www.keneast.info/bookclub/newbook... You can see other books I have read, read reviews, and see where we go to dinner! I have been in the Book Club since December 2003. I received an email response from Augusten Burroughs when I contacted him after reading Running With Scissors! Keep reading! Any suggestions not on my list you enjoyed? I loved A Confederacy of Dunces and A Prayer for Owen Meany. Sophie's Choice may still be my all time favorite. Jeff
By default, your comment that you found Confederacy of Dunces to be "a sharp, funny, and irreverant read," has qualified you to pick the Deep South Book of the Month for May 2007.

Hurry! (Thanks!)

What a great profile and homepage!!! I also ready all of the time. Always did - even as a kid growing up in a ghetto surrounded by gangs - I was the one with my nose in a book. Best to you.
Hi survivingniki! We share 70 books, so I had to stop over and say hello. I'm with you on the "what to read next?" question. I keep my "want to read" list separate, so it's not on LibraryThing. What are you reading now?
Thanks for joining the Humor group.

Happy cataloging to you.
