About me I love books, obviously.
I have a B.A. in English from Pomona College. I graduated in May 2008.

I put my list of books read in 2007 under the website section.

About my library I am still in the process of discovering writers I like- and I have eclectic tastes. Also, I am addicted to used book stores and sales, so that explains the large amounts of books I have by authors I have never read. I'm starting to list favorites, but I definitely don't have them all listed and some authors I have only read one of their books, and though I loved it, I'm not sure if they qualify as favorites.

Feel free to browse and leave a comment, I love hearing from other readers.

Hi, Suzanney.

I'm very sorry that you were disappointed by my book! The world is full of all kinds of people with all kinds of aesthetics, all kinds of tastes, of course, so I totally respect your judgement. Maybe someday I'll write something that you'll like very much, but meanwhile--if you feel OK about emailing me your address, I'll send you a check for whatever you paid for my book (BREAKFAST WITH THE ONES YOU LOVE) so that you can buy one you like better. Maybe you can even sell the copy you have to somebody and make a profit.

Very best wishes,

Eliot

Wow. That's incredibly cool.

Thank you for telling me!
Hi, I see we share Bear Daughter, did you like it? Have you read any Margo Lanagan? She is an Australian short fiction writer of stories which fall around and between fantasy and sf. She has two collections out here in the states, Black Juice and White Time, which have been marketed as YA. Some of her stories are really mind-blowing. Judging by what we share, I think you would like her (if you decide to check her out, start with Black Juice, it's in paperback). There are so many other good books by the authors we share...like Lethem, you might enjoy his earlier novels Girl in a Landscape, for example; or Graham Joyce's most recent Limits of Enchantment.

Sorry, I'm a former bookseller and sometimes I get carried away. Hope school is going well for you. Best, Lois
