Just wanted to drop you a quick line and let you know how much I enjoyed reading the Adams/Carwardine ST book "Last Chance to See" that you selected for me. I got a chance to read it last week and I thought it was thoroughly FANTASTIC! While I read the "Hitchhiker" books when I was a teen and enjoyed them, I never became a fanatical fan so I hadn't read any other Adams in likely 20 years and hadn't realized he'd done non-fiction writing. I enjoyed "Last Chance to See" so much I just regret that he didn't get a chance to complete more non-fiction before his untimely passing a decade ago as I would surely be devouring his back catalog now thanks to your selection spurring me on.
I wanted to thank you so much for your SantaThing 2011 picks for me! I had never heard of either title---didn't even realize Douglas Adams wrote any nonfiction, heh. You took my comments about liking general nonfiction about unconventional topics to heart as a Secret Santa and I really appreciated that consideration in your picks. After reading the back covers and also a few comments here on LT and at Amazon I feel certain they are going to be very interesting and absorbing nonfiction adventures! Last Chance to See is going to be on deck for very early 2012 and it's going to be a great way to ring in the new reading year I believe.

Once again, thank you for a job well done and my warmest wishes for a continued happy holiday season to you and yours,

bj
Hello! I just noticed that I hadn't thanked you for my SantaThing books yet. So far I've read "The Android's Dream" and "The Atrocity Archives" and liked them both very much.

So, thanks for your great choices and I hope you'll enjoy your ST books as much as I'm enjoying mine!

Jan
Hello! This is a bit late in coming - but I hope you enjoy your books. I tried picking out books that fit your interests, but were different than the books in your library. Thank You! -Carrie
