About me

I once told a graduate student that I read to save my life, and she just laughed. I used to read for the wonderful transcendence of it, then I read for a degree, now I seem to read in a utilitarian fashion in order to do the things I want to do.

About my libraryRight now I'm cataloging mostly useful books. I hope to expand soon! LT made me more aware that the intersection of books and life is fascinating.

GroupsA Pearl of Wisdom and Enlightenment, All About Art, Awful Lit., Editors, Researchers, Whatever, Initiation Into Hermetics, Irish & Celtic Studies, Mystical & Spiritual., TAROT LOVERS, Western Mysteries, xaos at heart

Hi, thanks for your greeting. "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law"

I envy you being in the States and able to attend courses run by DuQuette et al.
Thanks for the recommendation of the collage book, too.
Most of my occult books aren't catalogued yet - I'm working on horror, and am up to "B" in my collection! When that section is done I will catalogue the occult - which is all downstairs in a separate level of the house. It's where our MoonsKin coven usually meets.

Thank you very much for the hello comment.
Hi there :) Glad I was able to help with the book recommendation! "Graeco-Egyptian Magic" is a good one; I was the copy editor for it, and really enjoyed the chance to get a sneak peek of it!
Thanks for letting me know about the myspace page going the wrong place. I think that I fixed it - it is hard to tell today as the site seems to be working only sporadically.

In other comments, I am an Aquarian, also!
Hi Tabitha,
RWA is a big help. Their monthly magazine with news on publishers, authors and agents is a real boon, and their yearly conference is a whirlwind three days of workshops and meetings with agents and publishers.

I grew up reading Gothics. The genre seems to have died away, but maybe one day it will make a come-back.

I got hooked on paranormal romances when Silhouette had the Shadows line. I had every book in the series. Then is was cancelled. But it had started a trend, and now paranormal romance is a hot genre.

Demon in the Snow was a werewolf story. The one I'm working on now doesn't really fit any of the sub-genres. After I finish this one, I want to go into urban fantasy, and I have a vampire novel started - well, I have it started in my head where all my books start.
