I envy you being in the States and able to attend courses run by DuQuette et al.
Thanks for the recommendation of the collage book, too.
Most of my occult books aren't catalogued yet - I'm working on horror, and am up to "B" in my collection! When that section is done I will catalogue the occult - which is all downstairs in a separate level of the house. It's where our MoonsKin coven usually meets.

RWA is a big help. Their monthly magazine with news on publishers, authors and agents is a real boon, and their yearly conference is a whirlwind three days of workshops and meetings with agents and publishers.
I grew up reading Gothics. The genre seems to have died away, but maybe one day it will make a come-back.
I got hooked on paranormal romances when Silhouette had the Shadows line. I had every book in the series. Then is was cancelled. But it had started a trend, and now paranormal romance is a hot genre.
Demon in the Snow was a werewolf story. The one I'm working on now doesn't really fit any of the sub-genres. After I finish this one, I want to go into urban fantasy, and I have a vampire novel started - well, I have it started in my head where all my books start.
