About my library I found out about this website in an article in a Portland, Maine newspaper. I've always wanted to catalog my library, and find out exactly how many books I have. To me it's more motivating to share with other bibliophiles. This website is unique in that you get to label 'tag' your own categories. As you're entering books you find out alot about yourself. It's also fun to have some statistics-- like how many books you have by a certain author. I find I've revised my categories several times.
It's obvious I have a few collective interests-- Willa Cather, Sirgid Undset, and classic literature by women and queer writers. I also have an interest in history, mostly american history and particularly the civil war. I have not read all the books I have, nor do I intend to. Some of the books I have are simply 'must have' copies. I particularly like old hardcovers (modern library editions are a favorite) for collecting. I usually buy crappy paperbacks for actual reading.
