About meI am a high school English teacher and English department chair. I am about to begin my 12th year teaching, and I love my job. I especially love teaching American and British literature, which is my current teaching assignment. Emily Dickinson is my favorite poet. I enjoy finding ways to create a love of reading and literature in my students in order to enrich their lives as mine has been enriched by literature.

About my libraryMy library is represented by classics of American and British literature, but I also love children's books(I hope to be a mother someday), and I enjoy reading Jodi Picoult books. With great resistance, I did begin reading the first two books in the Twilight series as all of my female students begged me to read them. I have to admit, I like them. I guess it's because I'm a romantic at heart.
