About mea reader, and a teacher.

About my libraryHow did I get 1,200 books in my library?! I surprise myself.

I am using my library to remember/catlog/research books and literature.

When possible, I try to link to lesson plans and sample texts from the books in my comments and/or reviews. I am always looking for ideas to teach literacy and literature and other materials. Finding and linking to resources has been hard to keep up with lately, but I'm working on it.

There are also many books that I just love regardless of whether they are meant for children or adults.

Noticed you liked The Bluest Eye, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also southern and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

Thanks! No, I don't plan to read any more books in the Twilight series--I hear they just get worse, and I don't think I could stomach them. Glad you enjoyed the review!
Hello, Teachbooks!

I have been trying to find someone who has actually read (and possibly used in a classroom) the new Newbery Award winner, Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! I am looking to recommend a few titles to my principal for our advanced sixth grade readers. Obviously this book has some literary merit, but do kids like it?

Thanks for your thoughts!
