About me Grad student at the University of Chicago, concentrating in art history and critical theory, previously an undergraduate philosophy major at UC Santa Cruz.

About my library I like collecting books. once I get a paid account I'll add the other half of my library.

No, I haven't read them all, but I have started three-fourths of them. Maybe some day it will happen.

Thank you for the note. "Philosophy of language"?? To me this is the "ground floor" of existentialism. As we accomodate ourselves to the post uterine world, where do we initially absorb the concept of rules ("rule following" - Wittgenstein)? Try googling "Habermas Gadamer" and see what happens. Or the "Frankfurt School". You do have Max Horkheimer in your library. Lakoff (Metaphors We Live By) and Noam Chomsky might whet some interest in the philosophy of language. Gregg Miller (libraything address: "ggmiller") has made available an abstract of his dissertation on one aspect of Habermas.
No Habermas??
