About meI am a complete bibliophile. I love to read and collect books. I am a organizer of 2 book clubs on meetup.com and belong to another one. In addition I am pursuing a Master's degree in Anthropology. I don't think I can ever be done with learning!

I love to read about anything and everything from fiction to non-fiction. My only criteria is that the writing be of good quality.

About my libraryI have almost 2000 books ranging from all sorts of categories, but mainly fiction. I began collecting when I was a teenager and I do not ever plan on stopping.

Hope

It hovers in dark corners
before the lights are turned on,
it shakes sleep from its eyes
and drops from mushroom gills,
it explodes in the starry heads
of dandelions turned sages,
it sticks to the wings of green angels
that sail from the tops of maples.

It sprouts in each occluded eye
of the many-eyed potato,
it lives in each earthworm segment
surviving cruelty,
it is the motion that runs the tail of a dog,
it is the mouth that inflates the lungs
of the child that has just been born.

It is the singular gift
we cannot destroy in ourselves,
the argument that refutes death,
the genius that invents the future,
all we know of God.

It is the serum which makes us swear
not to betray one another;
it is in this poem, trying to speak.

Thanks for your friendship! I look forward to checking out your books and hope you enjoy mine.
Welcome to LT! Hope you have acquired your LT 'sea-legs" and are getting comfortable. I came across your name on the list of recent users who have books in common with me. While 102 books is not a great amount to have in common, especially here on LT, but it is still impressive. We do share an interesting mix. Well, stopped by to say hi...if you're interested in groups might I suggest the "What are you reading now?" as a good starter. Best, Lois
