You have a good point about Jane's unreliability. I don't know how much farther you are through the novel now, but that flaw becomes more pronounced as the plot progresses. In my opinion, her unreliability spun out of control and ruined the end of the book. I'd have to reread it to see if I missed anything, but I ended up feeling very dissatisfied with how it reolved, so much so that I knocked a star off my original rating.
