About meI grew up in a very small town in central Minnesota. It wasn't Walnut Grove but it was close. My love of books and writing was inspired at a very young age by my dad's cousin, Robert Pirsig. We didn't have television except for a local channel so the majority of my time was spent tucked away with my dog and a book. I moved to the "big" city of Duluth to attend college before moving out to New England where I would stay for the next 20 years. When I moved back to Duluth 6 years ago I teamed up with a local bookstore owner and have been greatly enjoying the business. My interests have been early insane asylums, authors who died by suicide, the Beat authors, and the classics. I also write poetry, short stories, and have a novel that has haunted me a decade without completion despite many eviction notices.
About my libraryYou will find a little of everything in my library. My larger collections include Russian Literature and history, early insane asylum history, authors who died by suicide, classics, Beat authors, Vonnegut, Atwood and other modern lit that is less mainstream.
