About meI'm The Gypsy Poet. I read voraciously, and I have eclectic taste in books. ;)
I'm in my late twenties, and I'm almost finished with my bachelor's degree in literature. I live in Texas, but I think I was born on the wrong continent (I'm much more well suited to cooler climates). I love autumn, being outdoors, balcony gardening, living alone, graphic narrative, books, campy movies, blogging, perfume oils, eyeshadow, hot tea, pumpkin spice lattés, creative writing, fanfiction, dark chocolate, and cooking, among many other things. I consider myself a pagan because that's easier than saying, "I follow an earth-based spiritual system with strong Celtic, Hellenic, and Buddhist leanings."
About my libraryI lean strongly toward fantasy, particularly dark fantasy, as well as science fiction, and I have a soft spot for certain types of romances. I'm also very fond of graphic narrative, particularly X-Men comics.
Favorite authors include Neil Gaiman, J.K. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkien, Robin McKinley, Jane Austen, and others that I can't think of off the top of my head.
I also have a metric crapload of nonfiction books on subjects ranging from astrophysics to Late Antique period Europe to writing to hurricanes.

get thee to a bookstore!
here's a bit of it:
The gypsy girl is waiting on the roof for the smuggler, her lover, to come home over the hills from the sea She leans over the rail, staring at the hills and the moon. The green weeds in the cistern throw back a green glow over everything. Her longing becomes an obsession embracing everything he stands for; the sea, the moist wind of the lush green world where there is no thirst and frustration. She is tired of waiting for a lover.
But who will come, and from where?
