One to Count Cadence is a favorite of mine. Like Crumley's heroes, Slag Krummel and Joe Morning, I was an ASA ditty-bopper too in the sixties. Wrote my own book about it, Soldier Boy: At Play in the ASA. Even Crumley liked it. Maybe you'll check it out, either on Amazon or at my website, RatholeBooks.com . Keep on reading, Hulk. - Tim
Hi,

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Butcher Boy, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also about a disturbed adolescent and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

I'm a Pelecanos fan, too. I haven't gotten to the newer titles. We saw Lewis Nordan read on the same stage as Pelecanos. Quite a contrast in styles. Tim O'Brien's THINGS might be a relevant read, given our war situation. I have his NUCLEAR AGE somewhere in my stacks.

Nice library. Just started entering my collection. I think I have probably 85% of yours. We'll see.
