For fear the Galows should be your hend,
And when you die the Lord will say
And wares the Book you stole away?

My point is that a bias exists against conservative people which is sometimes stated verbally, even though this is an environment that upholds freedom of speech and respecting other peoples' views. The bias is especially great against someone with ethical values is also religious.

for grown-ups called ZF-360. Now I'm working on a novel-length ghost
story.

I had written a small gift book for the publisher, which sold well. The publisher came to me and asked for a YA 'problem novel.' I said I'd try writing one, but then couldn't come up with a topic.
I don't have personal experience with eating disorders, but many young girls in my culture were flirting with them at the time. My husband suggested, "Why don't you write something about a girl who dabbles with anorexia, then gets trapped?" I wanted it to be a cautionary tale, warning teenagers away from eating disorders. So I researched it, and there it was.

You wrote: "I have read two of the books from the Josephine trilogy, & really enjoyed them. But I am having a devil of a time finding a hardcover edition of "The Many Lives & Secret Sorrows of Josephine B." to match my other books---even on abebooks.com!"
I'm pleased you enjoyed Jo B.!
Hardcover editions are now hard to find, as you are discovering. The English editions of the trilogy were only published in hardcover in Canada. I have one with a slightly flawed binding that I could let you have—you wouldn't notice the flaw if the book was on the shelf. Email me through my website.
Sincerely,
Sandra Gulland

Oh, I haven't had a chance to get those cards out yet. I've got to weigh them and see what they'll need for postage (they're semi laminated and glossy, so a bit heavy) but I will do my best to get them out before the increase. Thanks:)
I hope you enjoy Anna Anderson. I didn't expect to, since I'd read several reviews saying they felt the author was biased and blinding by her legend, but I didn't find I shared that opinion. I could tell he became very passionate about the story and her cause (which he acknowledges in the forward, if I remember) and it shows in his writing. Though I will admit, the chapters about her trial seemed a bit redundant with details of other people's opinions, but that was the worst flaw in my mind. I hope you enjoy, whether or not she was Anastasia, she was an interesting character. :)

The book you mooched from me was The Riddle of Anna Anderson, I don't have the trilogy you mentioned, sorry. I'll see if maybe I could drop some cards in a regular envelope and mail them that way, knowing Media Mail and with it being Mother's Day, I wouldn't be surprised if you receive the envelope before the book:)

I posted a book into my bookmooch inventory that came up as you having it on your wishlist; your nick intrigued me so I checked out your bio there. Which led me here. We have some interesting books in common, can't wait to peruse your virtual shelves. Happy reading!
