About meI am a trained textile designer who has now become a writer on the subject of interior and general design history.

I am the author of The Textile Blog which is a daily blog that concentrates on the history of textiles, but does include contemporary work. Among the subjects covered are printed, woven and knitted textiles, as well as carpet, rug, tapestry, quilting, embroidery and basketry design. It also includes a culturally diverse approach to the history of textile design across the globe.

About my libraryMy library is my reference tool and therefore contains books that I find useful, informative and entertaining. it tends to grow and shrink as the mood takes me and I have regretted it when I have had a downsizing phase.
