About meHi, I love to read. I go through fazes of what strikes my interest. One day I could be into the social writings of Jack London, the next im reading Marjorie Rawlings or Henry Beston. It really depends on what mood im in....

About my libraryI have little bit of everything. It is a young collection and grows larger every day....

“Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it with all your might. Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your objective. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
-- Ralph Waldo Emerson

“No one keeps up his enthusiasm automatically. Enthusiasm must be nourished with new actions, new aspirations, new efforts, new vision. It is one’s own fault if his enthusiasm is gone; he has failed to feed it.” -- Duke Papyrus

“There is real magic in enthusiasm. It spells the difference between mediocrity and accomplishment.”
-- Norman Vincent Peale
my pute is shot; have to buy a new one for xmas, so i may not be on line for a few days; try marjarie stoneman douglas (i tink dat is right) or the bartram journals. all still in print or easily found on abebooks.
message received and it is a big 10-4, good buddy. remember that terrible language? lol. pick up and read ANGEL CITY by Patrick Smith. It's about where I lived for almost 10 years -- Belle Glade, Pahokee, and towns east (the everglades proper) and it STILL IS much like the book.
could you possibly write a review of A LAND REMEMBERED? If not, just talk to me: why did you give it 5 stars? what did you like about it? Same with Rawlings SOUTH MOON UNDER. I just finished CROSS CREEK (again) and had forgotten how extensively she chronicled (and so interestingly) my native schrub country around Hawthorne.
