About meI live on 10 acres in Southwestern PA. This was originally part of 600 and some acres that my ancestors Thomas and Mary settled in the 1760s. God blessed my husband and I with 4 beautiful daughters and now we have a son-in-law to go with them!
About my libraryIt has long ago taken over my house. My mom lives in fear that our old farmhouse is going to collapse from the weight of all these books!

I'm going to try to remember your name is Regina - when I first saw your comment I thought maybe your name was Mary - screen names are tricky.
It sounds funny when you tell non-readers that you love to touch and feel books, doesn't it? I was just saying on my thread the other day that I'm decluttering my place but my big clutter weaknesses are books and clothes. I just love to look at books and try to work them into my decorating whenever possible.
I'm going to send you a friend request, okay? Talk to you soon!
Take care,
Angela
PS - Hamburg is on the other side of the state - halfway between Reading and Allentown - maybe 2 hours away from Philly in good traffic!

Thank you so much for your kind words about the loss of our cat Moose.
We only had him 3 years, but he did bring us a great deal of joy during that short time. How quickly they become members of one's family.
I have never spoken with you but see your posts frequently on ~~T's thread as I keep up with that one. He always sets my feet back on straight when they are going cross-ways or crooked. I love that thread and the mind and heart behind it.
Thank you very much for stopping by. You will never know how much I appreciate that you placed me on your heart for a moment. Thank you.
hugs,
belva

I haven't read the Farm, or even heard of it. It sounds pretty depressing, and as I already suffer with depression, I don't think I will be reading it! :)
I have just finished The Virginian by Own Wister, a really superb book and one I recommend.
Thanks for dropping by.

I highly recommend the book Kira-Kira. I've read 47 books thus far in 2009 and this one stands out as the best.
I'm interested in learning about your impressions should you choose to read it.
