About meWriter, face painter, lover of pie. IRONSKIN, a steampunk Jane Eyre with evil fairies, is forthcoming from Tor in 2012, with a sequel in 2013.

About my library9 bookcases down, 3 to go (cookbooks & reference books, mostly)....

Right now I have 41 books listed that no one else has, including all 4 Horace Higby books. How is this so?!? Listen up, dudes, the Horace Higby books are awesome! Classic boy tall-tales, centering around the nerdy high school scientist Horace Higby, who becomes a sports ace through the application of chemistry and physics. Beautiful.

Hi Tina, I just came across you on LibraryThing while following a Noel Streatfeild "talk" thread here on LT. Your name popped up as owning the most Streatfeild books, and I wondered if it was the same Tina from Livejournal. Yep! Gotta love the small world-ness of it all!

I have only read "Traveling Shoes" (also called "Apple Bough"?) and I saw the BBC version of "Ballet Shoes" with Emma Watson. What would you recommend as your favorite Streatfeild?
I really like your library! We have similar tastes in books, and you helped me remember several that I had forgotten to put on my list---The Boy Who Reversed Himself (I love William Sleator!) and Life With Father. Good book memories!

Holy crap, you have a great library! And it's bigger than mine! ::SOB::
