Well, I feel like I paved the way for you. My committee was the first that Michael chaired. I'm so grateful I had him. I guess I wasn't too terrible because he has agreed to chair others! I'd love to keep in touch with you and encourage you through the process. I've known Michael for at least ten years now through GCTE and then graduate school. I have a couple of friends who are in the program--Vicki King is working on her dissertation right now, and then another teacher at my school, Robin Tyson, is finishing her course work.

JUST DON'T QUIT! You can get through this, even if you are a very busy lady. It took me a little over 4 years, and when I started, my children were 2 and 6 and I worked full time the whole time, even teaching a couple of classes adjunct at ABAC. It can be done! Just keep your calendar by you all the time. :-)
