About meI am a 19 year old nerdfighter who lives in Australia.

I'm currently trying to work my way through the 1001 books you must read before you die, including all books from both versions. 63/1283 so far. I'm working on the new list at the moment, but will probably try to get both old and new completed.

Currently reading:

Miss Pettigrew Lives For a Day - Winifred Watson
The War of the Worlds - H.G. Wells

About my libraryI own all the books listed in my library, which isn't many, but I know some people put down books they want to read or books they have read.

It is a work in progress, and I hope I can expand it greatly over the rest of my lifetime.

Noticed you liked Lovely Bones, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here, as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it also contains a young female narrator struggling with a series of tragic circumstances. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit:

God speaks to each of us as he makes us,
then walks with us silently out of the night.

These are words we dimly hear:

You, sent out beyond your recall,
go to the limits of your longing.
Embody me.

Flare up like flame
and make big shadows I can move in.

Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror.
Just keep going. No feeling is final.
Don't let yourself lose me.

Nearby is the country they call life.
You will know it by its seriousnes.

Give me your hand.

Hi – have you weighed in yet on the next book for Group Reads – Literature? The discussion thread is here. And Irish set up a poll for us here (it can be amended if there’s lots of interest in a book that isn’t on there yet). Hope to see you there!

Terri
Hi Trinah

Thanks so much for listing my library, I feel quite honored. I've seen you on the 1001 list, how's it going?

Aemilys
How are you finding Dorian Grey? I read it last month for an English class, and at one point I looked up and realized I was half way through the book, but hardly anything had happened plot-wise. I wasn't sure if this made Wilde a good writer or a bad one, that I could get half way through a book and not notice that nothing was really happening, lol.
