About my libraryHave only done a few so far - twenty more shelves to go. I love good science fiction and historical fiction, especially about ancient Greece and medieval England. Try to keep up with modern fiction too and now have far more time to read - hooray!

I hope you like "War of the Flowers"! Thank God mine doesn't weigh 1kg (I have the paperback) as I get most of my reading done commuting by train.

There are lots of interesting, fun and quirky characters in it and, as in all of Williams' books, a reluctant hero. The exciting thing about it is how Faerie and our world are existing side by side in this book. And how similar they are. So ultimately the book is not only fantasy but also a really cool interpretation of our world and way of life. I think.
I like the Otherland series even better than "War of the Flowers", but since I think that Tad Williams is one of the best fantasy writers I've ever read, you can't go wrong with any of his books.
