About meI've been keeping lists of the books that I have read for a few years, so I was excited when a friend sent me a link to librarything. I like to set a goal for how many books I plan to read in a year.

I typically stick to fiction, but will venture into nonfiction on rare occasions. I usually read young adult, fantasy, cozy mysteries, historical fiction, and horror but I'll pretty much give any book a chance.

About my libraryMy library includes both library books and books that I own. Most of my books are borrowed... I didn't want to make separate lists.

I give ratings of 1 if I strongly disliked the book, and 5 if its one of my favorites. Mostly I give threes, it seems.

Sounds good!
Sweet! Should we do how we used to? Throw out some genres to start with? I could use something easy breezy. Maybe a trashy romance?
OMG, you're right! I'm not a page anymore! I kind of wish I was sometimes, it's nice to just kind of mentally check out and shelve. So do you think you want to do book club this year? Especially because we both have lifetime memberships now!
Oh my gosh, I'm at the 200 limit! I'm gonna have to buy the membership. You got the limit way faster than me!
I dunno, I'm thinking about it. You don't usually see good reviews like that for children's books, I feel. I just finished Janet Evanovich's "One for the Money" and I loved it! Gotta request the second one. But our systems are down for upgrades today, so earliest I can request it is tomorrow. Bleh.
This sounds interesting: http://www.librarything.com/work/4877707/88377099
Or if you wanna look it up on Amazon, with a full summary it's "The Crossroads" by Chris Grabenstein
Thanks chica! I have no idea why I did that, but I fixed it. I wouldn't mind it being 2012, cause that would mean I'm done with my undergrad and working towards the library science degree, without the anxiety of getting into grad school in between.
Came across this quote (search overload instead of studying, anyone?) and it totally made me think of you! From the Vampire Diaries apparently. Didn't we watch that it in the very beginning? And then....life? Lol!

"That werewolf road leads straight to vampire boulevard!"

hehehe
Stalker! I was actually just gonna go open up your email. To be honest, I've been in kind of a funk this week, so I'm so sorry for not emailing you! :( But yea, I read some of these a lil while ago (and by that, I just mean since the last time I updated on here) But I wasn't sure if little poetry books counted, lol. But I figure, if you count your school ones, I should count these. :) And I just got started on this witch mystery series, and I'm loving it!
Just put up "The Last Days of Summer" in my library. Go read about it!
LOVE your new profile picture! I want a wall like that. :) The chandelier is really pretty. I just wanted to tell you that I'm trying to restrain myself from reading the Anita Blake book, lol. I hope you get it soon!
Hey hey! It took me a while to figure out how to do the half-star thing, too! I'm not sure if I really want to go back and rate stuff again, tho. I'm sorry I didn't see your post earlier asking me bout it! :(
I just requested the newest Charlaine Harris book. You know, that one in the series about the girl who sees how people died? Grave Secret! Did you get a chance to read it yet? I know you've read that series too.
Hey, should we add a tag for our book club books? I'm gonna make a "2010 book list" tag so I can count this time next year how many I read. But should we make a "book club" tag?
Hahaha, too true! I miss Buffy. But only when it was good. Which definitely did not include the last couple of years. Did you read the books based on the show, too? Some of them were pretty good. We are "currently reading" the same book? You don't say! Um, did you actually start reading it yet? 'Cause I didn't.
Challenge accepted! You best watch yourself. What should we wager? Loser buys Starbucks stuff?
