As a national leader in LGBT student services, the LGBT Resource Center has created innovative programs and services that educates the entire campus community and includes participation from students, staff , faculty, alumni and Los Angeles community leaders. The center and its affiliated student organizations have created thought-provoking events and discussions that truly initiate dialogue and conversation about LGBT community accomplishments as well as social inequalities for the community at large. The center works closely with the Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Assembly (GLBTA) to sponsor a wide variety of social, political and educational events for the university. The wealth of LGBT events has become an institutional standard engrained in the university’s consciousness.
