There's probably a common ancestor back there somewhere!
I just realized - how did you know I'm from Virginia? It's not in my profile.

Oh, my dad was out of the Army before I was born, so I was in NN until college.
I'm from Newport News. My dad was Army, Ft. Eustis. I joke that that area is unique, because no one is *from* there. At least, not more than one generation of a family.
Hi Joy- yes I am a HIRSCH but Adolph and Lillian do not strike a bell...my Hirschs settled in NYC at the turn of the century coming from Russia. Zalman Hirsch was my grandfather and his brother Harry also came over with him. There really are quite a few Hirsch's out there, a very famous one Baron de Hirsch bought up huge tracts of Argentine Pampas and helped settle the Jewish community in Entre Rios in Argentina also in the late 1800's.

always good to meet up with another bookworm.

What all places did you get to live? Our state areas were mostly in the east, Georgia up to Virginia. We were in CA for a year, but I was a baby then and don't remember it. I wish we could have done more stuff out west, though having been to Germany I probably shouldn't complain!

You'd think that since I don't live with my parents anymore I would be moving less, but I think I'm moving more! In the 2 years I've been in college, I've moved 4 times, and I'll probably be moving again in the fall, lol.
YES. chocolate is definitely at the top of the food pyramid. I sometimes pick reading over sleep. I shake myswelf awake to keep reading. I just finished reading The Abortionist's Daughter last night. It was a great combination of a family drama and murder mystery. My 12 year old son likes to read too; although he may like playing soccer more. Happy Valentine's Day :)
HAHA, as you can see, my typing here is no better. I misspell everything and have such a hard time remembering to go back and recheck! I can spell, I jsut can type it correctly.:
Hey Joy! So good to see yu here, I jsut saw you name on the message.Previously I was trying to figure out who you might be!As you can see I'm Schotzy here too, cant handle too many monikers. Anyway, I love this site. So much fun to get organized ,but now I need to organize the bookshelf at home.
