About meI am a retired middle school librarian who now has time to read all the adult books I want. My main hobby is bicycling and I hope to have 7000 miles in the saddle this year. I bought a touring bike and have done some loaded touring.

I am a heavy user of the public library since I can't afford to buy books like when I was working. I do buy used books from local public library sales. I enjoy entering books into Library Thing and probably spend too much time doing it.

I love to read to my twin grandaughters and watch their love of books and reading grow. They were so excited to get their own library cards.

I'm off to take a bike ride on my quest for 7000 miles in '08.

About my libraryMy hobbies are reflected in my reading, most notably, bicycling. I enjoy reading mysteries with a strong sense of place. World War II has always been of great interest to me as well as travel. I have decided to enter children's literature that I read during my 36 years as a school librarian. I can access my my old school library on-line catalog to jog my memory.
