GroupsAll About Art, Floridians

About mea reader most likely in utero,
born to parents in the country,
surrounded by magazines, books, farm catalogues & encyclopedias, & my mother's art appreciation & poetry books brought out from new york city when she left her job at rockefeller center to move to
hunterdon county, nj ~

earliest reading in natural history & geography, especially national geographics
and the book of knowledge
no television until about age eight & then it wasn't the glue that held us together ~
charades, limericks & my father's hand-built stage for our three marionettes ~

today my career in newspapers has led me to write books for the globe pequot press
as jan godown (pronounced god*own)
& my new byline, jg annino
i write full-time & also tutor
my NEW book is Florida's Famous Animals ~

we here think one of the best books about writing is by the impresario,
stephen king, "on writing."
i also give to pals brenda ueland's "strength to your sword arm" and also, "if you want to write."
