About meAdjunct Instructor, Buena Vista University

Ph.D., Political Science, Louisiana State University, May 2009

I'm an Aristotelian-Liberal (read: libertarian anarchist) political philosopher, a gun owner, and a fan of science fiction and fantasy.

Check out my online "magazine" Prometheus Unbound: A Libertarian Review of Fiction and Literature.

About my libraryI estimate I've got about 1/3 of my library cataloged now. The rest is still boxed up due to lack of shelf space.

What's in my library? As far as fiction goes, it is mostly science fiction and fantasy. Nonfiction: political science, philosophy, history, economics, psychology, natural science, cookbooks, gun-related, etc.

Thanks for the recommendation. I read your review til the spoilers, and also skimmed the Amazon reviews. It looks promising.

Is *Prometheus* focusing on science-fiction, or will it review other genres?
Although I have bookmarked your *Promethus Unbound* site and wish you well, I must confess that I lost my enthusiasm for studies of libertarianism in literature long ago. I pursued a couple of lists of recommended titles for a couple of years, but I found most entries to be tiresome variations of *Moon Is a Harsh Mistress* and *Atlas Shrugged* - a brilliant creator stifled by statism, a revolt against dictatorship in a science-fiction setting, etc.

I'd love for you to disabuse me of the notion that there is more to libertarian fiction than what I have described.
