About meI'm 25 and a librarian in Oxford. I have a blog at http://cardigangirlverity.blogspot.com
About my libraryI have been collecting books for 25 years, although I've had a few minor clearouts. I put my books on librarything back in 2007, and the collection has grown. Predominantly fiction, including quite a lot of children's books, (both from when I was young, and a couple of years ago when I set out to collect the Chalet School series), but also history (did a history degree) and some other random books reflecting some of my interests (although, interestingly, I have nothing about brass bands!).
Unfortunately, my library isn't a great guide to what I read: I read huge numbers of books (last year I read 300 non college related books), and rely on my public library to provide these, as I can't afford to keep up with myself. (Plus, I regularly run out of bookshelves!)

In it he speculates on the likely future of the book in the digital age. You'll be pleased to hear that he thinks the printed book does have a future.

I share your fondness for children books (beside Viragos), and I have been trying to collect them though the years, especially old editions.
I have one of the Chalet Schools on my Amazon wish list, but did not get to order it yet. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
