I'm about a third of the way into Forbidden Bread. It started out so-so for me but it's picked up. I like how it's different in that she choose to go to Slovenia to be with Ales. Most indepedent NYC women probably wouldn't do that. It seems like a crazy thing to do. But I think she is happy. I wonder though if her 'knowledge' of what and how the Slovenians think is very accurate given how she is still saying they think of her as an outsider. Can she really get in their heads as a culture of people so different from her?

Thanks for the friends invitation. I'm curious about how you found me? But I see on your blog that we're both reading Forbidden Bread right now. How are you liking it?

A writer gives birth to a story. Then comes the moment when the novel must stand on its own. Readers such as you will determine this novel’s ultimate success. I look forward to your comments.
