Lord My Pasture Shall Prepare, The
by: Joseph Adison (1672-1719)

The Lord my pasture shall prepare
And feed me with a shepherd’s care;
His presence shall my wants supply
And guard me with a watchful eye;
My noonday walks He shall attend
And all my midnight hours defend.

When in the sultry glebe I faint
Or on the thirsty mountain pant,
To fertile vales and dewy meads
My weary, wandering steps He leads,
Where peaceful rivers, soft and slow,
Amid the verdant landscape flow.

Though in the paths of death I tread,
With gloomy horrors overspread,
My steadfast heart shall fear no ill,
For Thou, O Lord, art with me still;
Thy friendly crook shall give me aid
And guide me through the dreadful shade.

Though in a bare and rugged way,
Through devious lonely wilds, I stray,
Thy bounty shall my pains beguile;
The barren wilderness shall smile,
With sudden greens and herbage crowned,
And streams shall murmur all around
Saw you liked Trainspotting, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). Thought you might like it since it's also about a group of disturbed kids and a bit dark. I'd be glad to e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

God bless you.

Just hullo. I was looking to see who owned a particular book. While we don't overlap on titles, we seem to on topics. A bit. Enjoyed your flickr as well.

Peace.
Thanks for your reply. If you go from the 'Christ in All the Scriptures' blog to the St Kentigern's website - www.stkentigern.org.uk - , you can find my notes on the Psalms.
While I have the full set of notes in Biblical order on disc, you would have to look for the Psalms in the St Kentigern's website. Since I alternated between OT - beginning at Genesis - & NT - beginning at Matthew - with an occasional reading in Psalms & Proverbs - beginning with Ps 1 & Prov 1 - you will find the early Psalms in Year 1.
To get to the full set of readings, find the reading for the day and then click on the logo above the reading. This will take you to the monthly booklets. I hope you find the notes helpful both for yourself & for those to whom you minister.
Every Blessing,
Charlie

"You know that stuff they're selling now at the local shop, 'I Can't Believe it's Not Butter'. Well, you know, I can't believe it's not butter. Then yesterday ... I bought this other stuff, like a sort of home-brand you know... Well I can't believe the stuff that is not 'I Can't Believe it's Not Butter' is not 'I Can't Believe it's Not Butter', and I can't believe that both 'I Can't Believe it's Not Butter' and the stuff I can't believe is not 'I Can't Believe it's Not Butter' are both, in fact, not butter. And I believe they both might be butter, in a cunning disguise. And in fact there's a lot more butter around than we all thought there was."
