About meI've been a writer all my life and started being published as a novelist in 1991. I had previously been a journalist, a merchant seaman and a coconut plantation owner in Fiji.
I have travelled to and lived in many parts of the world. In the past few years I have split my time between Paris and Tasmania (just off the south of Australia).
About my libraryI have had and lost or sold many libraries over the years. I now have a lot of novels and biographies on my shelves plus a lot of what I call my 'work books' on esoteric subjects

Just reading a comment you made about Goulds Book of Fish by Richard Flanagan re *A lot of readers misunderstand a lot of these great pieces of writing*.
I tried desperately to read this novel several years ago and found it a very difficult book . Having previously read The Sound of One Hand Clapping which I thought was a wonderful reading experience I just didnt get GBOF. Have you read his most recent novel 'The Unknown Terrorist'? Any thoughts and is it worth a go.
