GroupsAll Things Discworldian - The Guild of Pratchett Fans, BookMooching

About meCrazy girl from Canada. Always looking for new books to mooch.

As you can see, I mainly collect series as opposed to just one-shots. Perhaps it's just the obsessive organizer in me that likes to see everything lined up so perfectly.

The books I am angeling for you, Children of the Storm and Lord of the Silent by Elizabeth Peters, still each have not been accepted. I have sent emails as reminders and will keep you updated.
Thank you so much for A Great Deliverance. I received it yesterday and I'm looking forward to reading someone I've never read before. Thanks again!

Chad.
Both Elizabeth Peters books are here, in good shape and reserved for your mooching pleasure!
The Hippopotamus Pool has arrived and the other has been marked sent. I'll let you know as soon as I have both.
hey, if you still have any of the Stackhouse books available, I'll happily mooch. I've only read the first one and want to assemble a collection before I start reading...
Hey, the owner of the Ring still hasnt accepted the mooch, and has now gone on vacation. How much longer do you want to me to hang on before cancelling?
Cool! Thanks much, I have a friend that's dying (ha-ha!) to read them, and as I've started watching the show, I might have to read them too!

Brenda
I'm happy to mooch for you, vikitty, and I hope they reach me quickly.
I'm so glad to hear that. I need you! I think that all that I will need for you will be to add the new angels onto the list, or change their conditions for angelling. I'll feed you that info. I can remove people, I think, without html. I'll also try to find another volunteer so that at some point you won't have to do it at all.

Thanks again and I'll be in touch, likely via e-mail.

Michelle
Hiya,
Even though you are taking a break from BM, would you still be willing to help me with this? I'd only ask for you help with the stuff requiring html knowledge, so as to not take up too much of your time.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks so much,
Michelle
The Mma Ramotswe books are here already - much quicker than I expected. I just added them to my inventory and reserved them for you. :)
Angel mooch update: Both accepted by now, but there will be some delay before the giver can send them.
One of the books is marked as used, but good condition. The other one says "Book has been quite wet (with previous owner), but is still readable" - is that ok with you?
Just leavin you the notice you asked for. Thanks for angelling Tales of Beedle the Bard for me!
My BookMooch ID is MurdererDelacroix
Happy that Mort arrived safely. :)

I just found double copy of Colour of Magic (desperately trying to arrange my library). I´m going to put it to BM - do you want I reserve it for you? It's again quite battered copy with creases and folds, but still well readable.

By the way, I just sent you follower-request in Twitter - My nick is vipvir there.
Hmmm... it does sound a little strange... Thanks!!
I read your review of 'The Gypsy Game', and thought it was very interesting. I mean, it felt like [to you] it was unsatisfying. I really enjoyed the first book, 'The Egypt Game', and was wondering with your knowledge of the two books, is it really worth reading the next one? Please reply.
Random, but your "Homepage http://stashdrawer,livejournal.com" in your profile here has a comma in it so the link doesn't work. Thought I'd say it :)
Hope the book arrive soon!

We don't have a single book in common o.o! But at least I did read The Southern Vampires Mysteries. Have you read the last one?
Try The Buried Pyramid by Jane Lindskold. It's not a series, but you'll survive.
Heh I'm the opposite the majority of my friend think I need to be less gloomy and monotone. I'm working on it but it's a long road. XD
Same with the Abhorsen trilogy I loved it when I read it but don't think I'll pick it up again.
Oh, I have some Kelly Armstrong, Alison Croggan, Charlaine Harris, Good Omens, a few of the Pendragon series, Eragon/Eldest, Crocodile on the Sandbank, misc Pratchett and manga, all the Harry Potters, etc.

So, maybe, oh 1/3?

Where's your Egypt Game, since you mooched Gypsy Game?
No prob glad to be making some friends here. :) I've seen your posts in the forums and you seem wonderfully cheery. Have you read Ragwitch? I started it a few days ago and think it's pretty good.
Hello my new(est) LT friend!
I have been smiling a lot at all your posts - and I am so glad you are having such a good time!
And I am even more pleased we have hooked up now - I have a feeling we will be sharing a lot more books in the future - as she checks out all the books you are managing to mooch. LOL!
I didn't realise you had just joined BM too - it is just so good having new members to both sites - not to mention all those lovely new books put up for mooching. :) I am sure you are making quite a few members very happy.

I just wanted to drop you a line; and to also let you know I will get you any books from down here (Australia) if they won't send. I'm actually an 'official' BM angel (which simply means I am on the 'angel' list) but the LT forum is the best - isn't it just? I can't tell you how many mooches I have gotten through that thread; otherwise I would have been very sad.
But I am laughing the most at you slipping down the road to post your books over the border. :)) Postage costs in Australia are similar to Canada - exorbitant and ridiculous! So I can relate - alas there is no border I can slip over.

Anyway i just wanted to stop by and leave you a message - you can never have too many comments on your page either! I love seeing that little yellow announcement.
Thank you for all my smiles... :) One of the very nice things about both these sites...

Do you have more books to add - well, you will with all those mooches!
~Lyn
