About meDoc note, I dissent. A fast never prevents a fatness. I diet on Cod
About my libraryI enjoy fiction. My particular interest lies in contemporary American fiction (with a nod towards Southern fiction)Though, I will read about anything and spend a fair amount of time searching for books that will elicit an embarrassing laugh in public.

Just a quick note to let you know that my new novel, Dirty Little Angels, is now available. Thought you might like it since it's been compared to Larry Brown, whom I noticed you like. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

I am from Milwaukee and have been a bookseller for 19 years. The many who in 1927 started our company, Harry Schwartz, published the story Salmagundi by Faulkner early on. He and his partner wrote Faulkner a note on a wine stained napkin asking if they could publish him. Thought you might enjoy the story.
All best,
Nancy

I can't resist a recommendation ! I will give Portis a try. It took me a long time to add all of my books. I would kind of add in spurts. I also have books in two different residents which made it interesting :>0
Thanks Dave! Off to Amazon to check out Protis

We do have some quality books in common. Winter: Notes from Montana by Rick Bass and Plainsong by Kent Haruf are two of my all-time favorites.
