About meLYS CE QUE VOUDRA (Rabelais)
- I grew up as a reader. It will never end
- Books are my joy, my pride, my comfort
- I am a passionate re-reader: "Any book, which is at all important, should be reread immediately" (Schopenhauer)
- "In order to read what is good one must make it a condition never to read what is bad; for life is short..." (Shopenhauer again)
- I don't like the term "coffeetable book"
- I like lists
About my libraryBooks are part of my personal history. I list and rate only books which actually belong to me (except the wishlist). My reading taste is wide spread:
- Non-Fiction: natural and social science, climate change, philosophy, politics etc.
- I am an avid collector of books about books
- But I am really passionate about Interior Design
- Everlasting love: Early to mid 20th century England – Waugh, Maugham, Tolkien, Wodehouse and Sayers ed.al
- Bedtime reading: Science fiction, Tolkien's fantasy, espionage and detective stories
- I adore Alexander von Humboldt

How fun to have been noticed by someone from Switzerland. Yes, Books About Books is one of my favorite topics as well. You also have a healthy amount of books in that category. My two favorite Books About Books are 'Used and Rare: Travels in the Book World' and 'Slightly Chipped: Footnotes in Booklore' by Lawrence and Nancy Goldstone. They have more books but they aren't as interesting as their first two.
Thank you for adding me to your interesting libraries. I feel honored.

Thank you for adding me to your interesting libraries! I've just started reading the first in the Thursday Next series and I see you are a fan! We do seem to have some shared interests and I shall enjoy looking through your library. And I like your photo; I love looking at people's piles of books! Best wishes Zoe.
