Hi! As one of those who share, Living with Kundalini (Shambhala Dragon Editions) by Gopi Krishna, I thought i would visit your library. We share 25 books! Incidentally, you might want to check out John Blofeld's I Ching; so far, I find it thoe most use-friendly of the various I Chings.

Yes, I too am a medieval art/history fan. I hate to sounds cliche, but it is a small world. I am a museum studies student at San Francisco State University. This is a mid-life career change for me. I was laid off of my previous job (along with about 1000 others) after 21 years of service. That event prompted me to pursue a job that I really wanted, and that being a job in a museum. I was torn between art history masters (medieval art specialty) or museum studies masters (education specialty). In the end, what I was accepted to lead me to the museum studies path. I was accepted to University of Washington, JFK, and SFSU. I went with SFSU because it seemed like it provided the best program as far as museum education goes. Currently I am in the thesis period. I am doing a educational program for the Pardee Home Museum in Oakland. It will be for 3rd grade students and will tie the museum to the Oakland local history curriculum. Also doing an internship at the de Young museum, in the education department. I do everthing from organizing the teacher's resource center, teaching hands-on art activities, booking docent tours, updating teaching trunks, and helping with K-12 student tours. I'm located at the new de Young. Unfortunately, I never got a chance to see the old museum. I just moved to San Francisco in 2004 from the Los Angeles area. I love San Francisco, call me odd, but the cold, foggy weather suits me just fine! As far as book stores in the area, I love Green Apple, and Fields, and Moe's over in Berkeley. Also was a big fan of Cody's in Berkeley, and am sorry that it closed down. How are the bookstores in Seattle? Was your emphasis while at JFK in curation? Why did you decide to go that path?

We are the only two owners of "Lines of Succession" on LT and it is our only common book though I have 3300 and you have 1959.

Sorry not to answer your question sooner. The tomb effigy is from York Minster. I've mislaid my notes on the individuals portrayed, but they're 17th century. I took the shot while on vacation with my wife (we recommend York, a really beautiful city that avoided much of the destruction of the civil wars and WWII).

I really like the books we share in common. Also that you live in Seattle. I'm originally from Bellingham, but have lived in south Texas for the past few decades.
