Dear Bill:

I hope you've had a chance to read "Thanksgiving: The Pilgrim's First Year in America" on your Kindle. Now, as Father's Day bears down upon us, I'd like to suggest that you might like to order a copy of the book for any of the various fathers you know.

What could be more appropriate than forefathers for Father's Day? It's perfect.

I've set up a little website where you can order a signed copy of the fancy hardcover library edition with the red ribbon bookmark for just $19.95, with free shipping. I'll even ship it straight to the honored father.

And I'll be glad to write a little dedication in it, too — "For Dad," for example, or "For my nephew the father" or "for my favorite forefather" or something. Just let me know.

You can order it (and read excerpts) at .

That said, I bid you a happy Father's Day and a lovely, lovely June.

P.S.: Don't drop that Kindle! A friend of mine dropped hers, and poof! No more Kindle, no more books.

Thanks for ordering a Kindle copy of "Thanksigiving." I hope it works is way to the top of you stack soon. I have no idea how that works on a Kindle (my personal stack of books is a lot less technical) but I'm sure you'll work it out, and I hope you're happy on the day you do. I look forward to your comments.
