About meI am 28 yrs old, from the gorgeous Hudson Valley in New York State. I travel frequently, and love to read literature set in a place I am about to visit. I also enjoy poetry, classic lit and the current crop of dark humor popping up ---> Sedaris, A. Burroughs, etc. My favorite book is Lolita.

About my libraryMuch of it is inherited, any classic volumes greater than the 1960's; which I am working my way through. When I bought my house, the first thing I did was have a magnificent library built. Now I lament having ever lent out my favorite selections over the years. Everyone knows, they never come back to you!

Hi! Great Site! Thank You for the recommendation. O' To Read while Hiking?:)
Lisa B.
Hello, I took your advise and checked into this librarything. It looks very it looks interesting. Now I will have to make a committment to start reading again. It will take me a while to get integrated in this, there is so much to look at and difficult to know where to start. I joined a poetry group, so I guess that is agood start.:) I don't travel as much as I would like to, but I sure enjoy researching places on the 'net'.
The pic you chose for your profile is my very favorite.

Well, I'd not mind visiting Greece,or just about anywhere...but the requested recommendation is for my dad.:) G. Durrell had quite an interesting life, didn't he.

I know what you mean about getting a comment here -- it's like the first weeks of getting emails, although maybe you're not really old enough to realize what a novelty that was. I just heard about goodreads.com -- yet another book site, but it's more for what you're actually reading, not necessarily owning. Based on your profile, I'll ask, have you a contemporary novel set in Greece to recommend, by chance?

You're doing well to have entered 669 books already! You and I are the only LTers to share The Door in the Grimming by Paula Grogger, and I'm excited to see someone else with it. (I have 3 copies listed)
