Favorite authorsClive Barker, Francesca Lia Block, Augusten Burroughs, Douglas Coupland, Neil Gaiman, Joey Goebel, Brothers Grimm, Carlton Mellick III, Jeremy Robert Johnson, Stephen King, David Sedaris (Shared favorites)

About me My interests are reading, writing, playing guitar every so often, watching good and obscure movies, listening to music, escaping from reality every so often, and living.

About my library Genres I like dark fiction and literature, mythology, folk tales, Bizarro fiction, Beatnik writers, historical accounts, prose, poetry, graphic novels, true crime, comics, biographies, entertainment, sociology, psychology, philosophy, research.

Neil Gaiman is becoming my favorite author I feel. I love his use of characters, mythology and storytelling in all his books. I also like Clive Barker and his mix of gore and dark fantasy. Roald Dahl is another I always remember reading growing up and always entertained by. Joey Goebel is a name everyone should know, his 2 books have amazing characters and everything he is just intense. Francesca Lia Block is one of the most gifted talents I have ever read. Her words and descriptions are beyong belief, very poetic. Douglas Copeland is another great talent, his books always entertain, and his characters are so honest. Other authors I have enjoyed works by include Stephen King, John Saul, some Dean Koontz, Douglas Coupland, David Sedaris, Augusten burroughs, Tara VanFlower, The Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson, Chuck Palahniuk, Jack Kerouac, Anne Rice (mostly the Vampire Chronicles), Nick Hornby, Jeremy Robert Johnson, Carlton Mellick III, Sam Rosenthal, Alan Moore, Bret Easton Ellis, Poppy Z. Brite.

some poets/wordsmiths I enjoy: Wolf Larsen, Walter Rinder, Rod McKuen, Rainer Maria Rilke, Leonard Cohen, Charles Bukowski, James Joyce(Chamber Music), Henry Rollins, Adrienne Rich.

Hello bookseller! I came across your library and found some shared favorites and a few new ones I'll try. Take a look at Joe Hill if you haven't already; I think you'll enjoy it. Do you work for a chain or indie??
Thanks for your friendship! I look forward to checking out your books and hope you enjoy mine.
Thanks! You too!
Thanks! Though I think most of my books fall under the 'romance' category there's something in them for everyone. I see you have the collected 'Weetzie Bat' books by Francesca Lia Block listed. I LOVE her stories.
Thank you so much! I loved Francesca Lia Block when I was younger (As all young girls that discover her do), but I think I've sort of grown out of her. Her newer books have been a bit of a disappointment, but I'll always love Dangerous Angels if only for Weetzie Bat. In fact, everyone that I recommend that book to says that she reminds them of me...Always a compliment.
Neil Gaiman is my absolute favorite. I actually read The Sandman graphic novels before any of his books. That's a strange thing because the only other graphic novels I'd been exposed to were the Coheed and Cambria ones when I was so into that band a couple years ago. Then I read American Gods and fell in love.
I haven't looked at your library yet, so I can't comment on it, but I want you to know that I'm going to do that right now.

Your Slinkster,
-Hannah
Thanks WillKilby! You have excellently twisted taste. Bizarro rulez. -- Mike A.
