About meI'm a cataloguer at the National Library of Australia. I own too many books. I'm also a burlesque dancer, a gamer and a sex-ed geek.

About my libraryLots of witchy/pagan books, fantasy novels, cookbooks, gender studies and random non-fiction things. I really need to finish uploading my collection on here!

Hey Winnie,

You get rather used to handling old stuff - the oldest book in the library is 1000 years old. It's in very good shape, so there's not a lot of danger in handling it. Actually, books from the 1930's are usually in worse condition than books from the 1630's, due to the way they made paper. You have to walk on a narrow path between being too jittery (which can cause damage because you're nervous) and too casual (which can cause damage by accidentally putting a mug of coffee on a 500 years old pamphlet).
