About meI am a husband, father and student. My dream is to provide for my children through writing, and to contribute something to the world of books. I have found that a lot of writer's only like to talk to other writers to show how creative they are, so I don't often chat with other creative types about my work. The episode of Family Guy where the writers are at the coffee shop with laptops so everyone can know they're writers comes to mind.
About my libraryMy library is stuff that makes me laugh, cry, scream or think. I won't buy a book unless it inspires me in some fashion. I love to read, but the world is full of things that shouldn't have been published. That being said, I like to keep in mind that every story has already been done, it's more important to see how an author handles the task. I read a lot of books that are either loaned to me or I check out from my hometown library (interlibrary loan is AWESOME). It doesn't seem fair to include books in my library that I either don't like or don't own outright.

And thank you for giving BREATHERS a read. I'm flattered by your comments regarding Palahniuk. I have to say, his last one was a difficult read, though I still get inspiration from LULLABY and INVISIBLE MONSTERS.
Thanks again for taking the time to make a comment.
Best,
Scott
