About meI live in Adelaide, South Australia in one of the beachside suburbs. I am a librarian in a government department (not much in the way of interesting reading at work!) I enjoy reading fiction and biography with a love of detective fiction for relaxation while dipping into literature (with a capital L) between times. I am currently reading "Human Traces" by Sebastian Faulks and will then go on to a Dalziel and Pascoe borrowed from my Mum. I am married with grown children all living interstate although not exactly all settled down.
About my libraryI have been collecting books since childhood but have kept only about 1,000. Lots of the classics, most of which I have actually read and lots of detective fiction. My favourite detective/thriller authors are Ian Rankin, Carl Hiaasen, Minette Walters and Janet Evanovich. I love Austen and my most re-read book is "The wind in the willows". I haven't been able to get into Christina Stead or Patrick White despite having inherited a collection of Stead from my late mother-in-law. I have tried.

Impressive onlne catalogue! Talk about seriously clocking of hours to get these added :-)
I have been madly adding new kid's titles in preparation for when they start sending me the submitted books - I think I spend too much time sourcing covers, but I like looking at the pretty pictures
cheers
Michael
