About meI'm a 38 year old science and astonomy buff, with a keen interest in all things to do with science and nature. I am a long-time H2G2 afficionado. I am currently studying for a Masters in business. I have loved books since I was a child, and I am particularly interested in the history and development of scientific thought, and the development of human civilisation from its hunter-gatherer origins.

Welcome to Books Compared! We share a lot of interests, so I do hope you'll join the discussion and perhaps feel inspired to post a comparison review of your own sometime soon. You might enjoy taking a look at an article I wrote about the supernova of 1006. It's on the web at http://www.saudiaramcoworld.com/issue/20...
Thanks! :)
(Just what we for years wanted to do for h2g2 ;) )
Thanks, it's a work in progress still, of course. I'll try to get more translated as I have the time.
Good stuff on your Irish LibraryThing translations! I gave it a quick go myself (mostly to see how easy it was)
Oh gosh! How rude of me I did all me cataloging and then never went back to the profile part of the site, so I never saw your message. Sorry.

Yes, it is rather a large collection. Sadly I don't seem to have the time to read all of the things that I want to read - hence the large number tagged as 'unread'. But on the other hand there maybe a good side to that as I've pretty much run out of space to put up any more bookshelves.
