About meI'm an English Professor at a small college in Colorado. I mainly teach Freshman writing courses, but I'm also the current shepherd of our Creative Writing program, so I sometimes get to teach people who actually want to learn. I'm married to a wonderful Network Engineer (he plays with bytes, I play with words) and have a smart step-daughter who's about to turn 12. I also have two silly dogs. In my spare time I'm a free-lance writer and full-time reader who loves long walks in the mountains. I look forward to meeting all of you cool bibliophiles out there.

About my libraryIt's going to take me months to upload all my books, but I've got a good start. My interests are varied, but my favorite books are usually the fiction classics and works of comparative religion and theology.

Hi,

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Paris Trout, and thought you might like my novel since it's also southern and a bit dark (in the same vein as Paris Trout). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Here's a unique opportunity for all of our LibraryThing friends to take a peek at our prepress review copy of Preparation: [H]ead before it is officially published!

We are awaiting our prepress copies to arrive in the mail for us to look over before giving the official go-ahead and assigning the ISBN. Although the link may allow you to purchase the book now, please don't! No matter how valuable you may think it may prove in a future eBay auction, we don't want anyone to be disappointed should we discover errors in the physical copy.

We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we did writing it.

Feel free to sound off with review commentary!

Here's the private link to check it out:

Thanks for the props!

I want to acquire more Gaiman as I really enjoyed American Gods. Turns out a relation (too complicated to get into here!) has been trying to give me a copy for over a year now. Either he forgets to bring it when we get together or I forget to ask him for it when we visit. Finally I latched onto a copy of my own. Well worth it!

I am anxiously waiting on my first Early Review snag: 2012 by Mark Borax. Deals with Astrology and the Mayan calendar countdown to what may be their End-Of-The-World scenario. (Hope not!) I'm hoping it arrives soon so I can take it on a short trip out of town.

Its been a while since I've been in Colorado, just passing through!, but you are certainly in the right place for mountain walking! I got to see some of the Steamboat area some time ago and did a business trip outside of Boulder and I would enjoy going back. The mountains here in Pennsylvania are hills by comparison and I miss the ruggedness of the Southwest in general.
