About me24 on June 28th. Recently changed my major to English. Currently craving incomplete sentences. Love to curl up with a good book, a cup of chai tea, and my chihuahua Nacho on my lap. Started a book club with some friends at work; disappointed with the lack of happenings in my particular area of Georgia. Northern transplant. Miss the amazing libraries I grew up in - my mother is a reference librarian. MUST find town with impressive library in which to start a family - more important than anything else!
About my libraryI'm always adding new books, from Amazon.com or Goodwill or even the break room at work. My least favorite thing is to pay full price for a book. I love bargains, and I am never too proud to take handouts (note my membership in Early Reviewers and Member Giveaways). I try to read above the elementary school level that so many modern writers have become famous for, grabbing classics and enthusiastically obtaining novels assigned in my college literature classes. I make a habit of visiting the Unsuggester to find books outside of my comfort zone, as I feel that I must constantly expand my horizons if I ever plan on writing that novel I've dreamed of publishing since 2nd grade. :) I own three bookshelves that are assuredly over capacity and struggle to keep my shelves organized, though the constant influx of additions makes it difficult.
ANOTHER NOTE: I am totally against electronic books. I will admit to indulging in fanfiction from time to time and the occasional blog; however, I cannot support the KINDLE. There's something about the weight of the book in my hands, the feel of its cover and strength of its binding, the smell of the pages, the taste of the...just kidding. But I much prefer to hold a book in my hands. I figure that I cannot call printing "wasteful" if I recycle my books, passing them on to friends or strangers at Goodwill. :)

Thanks for the kind words. I found Annuna to be a total waste of my time (as I'm finding a lot of these "self-published" e-books cough24bonescough). I felt like I was proofreading a novel written by an angsty pre-teen boy. It's funny, though, as 19 days after I wrote my review, the author wrote a review for some other book. It started:
'Let me just say - it's rare I leave reviews. I only do it for books I truly do love. As an author, I understand the destructive nature a bad review can give a book, so I subscribe to the old adage, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."'
And then I wonder if that was directed at me. Warning: rant about to start.
Since when do authors want people to tell them that their lousy, sub-par work is GOOD? I'd rather hear about all the flaws of my work, so I could fix it for the next edition, or at least improve as an author. I think any author who thinks you should go by that old adage of "not saying anything at all," should really either not be such a baby, or stop sending me their poorly written books.
Okay. Breathe now.
Anyway, send it if you like (just don't e-mail it to me). Also, thanks for the interesting libraries add.

Still, I made it through all four because I mostly ignored the main character and her love story and focused on the inter-vampire politics. There is this underlying theme about whether to be true to who you are, no matter how horrible that is, or to fight it and reach toward some ideal of goodness--and although it is clear which Stephanie Meyer thinks is the right choice, the conflict between the vampires on that point, as well as the posturing between the different clans, was still interesting enough to keep me reading. I read Anne Rice, who covered it better, in middle and high school, and I guess that had something to do with my interest.
Anyway, thanks for looking at my library. I'll check out the Unsuggester. :)

And Y: The Last Man is awesome! I've only read the first graphic novel, but it's interesting and funny. Have you read Runaways by BKV yet?
