About meI've published two novels. PLAIN LANGUAGE (Touchstone, Simon & Schuster), which won a Spur Award from the Western Writers of America, is a love story about two strangers who marry and start a ranch on the Colorado Plains during the Dust Bowl. EASY MONEY (Algonquin Books) is about a woman whose father gambles away her college money and goes to New York City to find her way. I recently finished WHITE HANDS, a novel about three women friends--an American journalist, a therapist, and a painter-- who get involved in the death squads during El Salvador's civil war.
